BLENDED LEARNING
DEFINITION
Blended learning is any opportunity of learning using differents methods inside or outside the classroom.
It involves different methods like lecture, discussion, reading, games and simulation. It could be computer based or live classroom. The guidance can be personalized or in groups. Also the scheduling of classes have options: synchronous and asynchronous.
In blended learning, students are involucrated learning as follow:
- Project-based learning.
- Problem-based learning.
- Inquiry-based learning.
- Challenge-based learning.
Some examples of activities that can be done in blended learning:
- Online: elearning course, write a blog, participate in a discussion forum, peer revision, case study with feedback, synchronous classes, etc.
- Offline: write a paper, group proyect work, in-class lecture, etc.
